Well well, many had happened for the past months. It all started once i reached southampton university highfield interchange. I was on n******l express back from heathrow airport that fine evening. I was hoping to just grab my luggage from the hold of the coach and head back to my new house located not too far away, but, i realised one of my luggage which is supposed to be sitting inside that little compartment is GONE, HILANG, 不見了!!!!!! Where can it be??? Who got my luggage?? Oh my goodness gracious GOD.... who took it... Couldn't believe my eyes, i decided to climb into the compartment and look around thoroughly, No, tak ada, 沒有!!!! oh NO NO NO... of all bags... the bag that contained all my important documents, and i MEAN SUPER IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS (except passport) is gone... forever gone :?!?!??!?!??!?! after getting phone no from bus driver to report loss of my luggage.... i was damm freaking sure i put it into the compartment which is designated for winchester as told by the driver, but it's not there anymore...
Calling N******l express to deal with this matter was not the most pleasant experience. They recorded it down and wat they are doing was just waiting for people to return the luggage to them. After calming myself down and recontruct my mind. It would be sensible for me to think that someone mistaken my luggage as theirs and would return to me as soon as they realise. Since the bus stopped over at winchester before reaching southampton the people who got my bag would probably be from that stop which was only 5 passengers. Therefore i suggested to N******l Express to investigate by contacting those 5 passengers since n******l express would be able to do so by just checking their record on who took the bus except for those who bought it over the counter. However, they rejected my suggestion and insisted that what i can do now is just wait. This incident just made me running up and down and left and right, calling unfinished calls to look around for ways to retrieve it back... i was so desperate until almost wanted to post an advert in the newspaper to help track down the luggage.
After two weeks, N******l express wrote me a letter telling the bad news of not being able to retrieve my luggage and given me a special phone number to call to talk to their lost property manager. this number is basically non existance because i called million times but no one just seem to be there to answer my call. they suggested me to claim from my insurance (which i dun have). Browsing through the n******l express term and condition on lost property, i am suppose to be compensated 500 pound maximun if my luggage is lost due to the driver negligence. I wrote to them immediately and guess what, they replied my mail after one week saying that this is not considered as their driver negligence. (so how would the driver ever be accused of negligence if this is still not considered as his negligence) so frustrated, so annoyed, so angry!!!!
Just as when i've about to totally given up... on the 10 November 2006, 9:19am, i was still in my bed, my phone was vibrating so hard until i was awaken by it, answered the phone with a still hunger for sleep brain, saying something... which i could not make up now... but i heard the few key words, n******l express... luggage... winchester police station.... found... my mind just woke up as if someone injected adrenaline into my brain, IT'S FOUND!!!! IT'S FOUND!!! Finally after 1 month and 10 days!!! Finally it's found. The police station received the luggage on Monday and looked into my bag and found my 'VERY IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS' and found my name and detail. I really dunno how they manage to contact N*****l express by those details and managed to get the bag to me at 11:09am the same day by using TNT courier. Welcome back my bag.... but some loss is loss and will never be retrieve even though i got my bag back... well... too hard to understand right?? at least i learnt something from this lesson:
- always pay for the 1 pound insurance by national express... it's just 1 pound!!!!
- always look outside whenever the bus stop to see whether anyone take you bag!!!!
- always make sure u keep all the important documents with you!!!! doesn't matter how big is ur bag... insist on bringing up to the bus !!!!!!
- and always trust GOD, he will help u :)
Something interesting about my research, part of my research involved asking equal amount of people of different gender to measure their fat distribution, BMI, lean mass... not involving giving blood or what, just use a small gadget which will only take them 30 seconds. Thought it would be a simple things to ask for volunteers, but shockingly, almost 90% of female and one male rejected me ... SO my questions to all my frens out there.... WOULD YOU OR WOULD YOU NOT LET ME CONDUCT THIS TEST ON YOU, JUST TAKE IT AS A FAVOUR I ASK FROM YOU? really just wonder what everyone else think... or is it just a southampton thing... hehe.. so please let me know k...
Life goes on as usual...
